Defond Company Enhances Standardization Efforts; Chairman Wilson Chu Recognized as Outstanding Member of GD/TC80 Standardization Committee

On November 26, 2025, the Second Meeting of the Guangdong Provincial Technical Committee for Quality Management Standardization (GD/TC80) reviewed achievements since July 2021 and approved the new committee’s preparatory plan for the new committee. Mr. Wilson Chu, Chairman of Defond Electech Co., Ltd., was honored as an “Outstanding Member” for his contributions to standardization efforts.

During this committee term, two local standards were approved: “Digital Requirements for Quality Management in Household Electrical Appliances” and “Implementation Specifications for Chief Quality Officer System”, providing essential technical support for enhancing quality management in the industry. As a key participant in the Standardization Committee, Defond actively participated in standardization efforts, contributing technical knowledge and recommendations, which were recognized by the China Quality Certification Center (CQC).

The Chairman received the “Outstanding Member” title among 35 members of the Standardization Committee, alongside three colleagues. He consistently fulfilled obligations and actively participated in the development and dissemination of standards, providing valuable insights for the advancement of local quality management standardization. This recognition highlights his professional expertise and strong support for the committee.

This meeting established the new GD/TC80 Standards Committee, which will align with the “Quality Powerhouse” strategy to enhance quality management standards system. Defond will continue to engage in standardization efforts, leveraging its strengths to advance industry standards and improve overall quality and efficiency.
