Defond has gained the trust of SGS and obtained the ESD Certificate

On April 16, 2025, the internationally recognized testing, inspection and certification organization SGS awarded Defond the IECQ ESD Electrostatic Discharge Management System Certification. It indicates the trust of the 3rd party internationally recognized organization in Defond’s anti-static management system. Defond complies with the relevant requirements of IEC 61340-5-1:2024、ANSI ESD S20.20, and the anti-static management has reached the international standard level. This is Defond ‘s first ESD certification, and it was carried out in the new factory for the electrostatic management system certification.

Electrostatic discharge (ESD) is a common killer of electronic components and devices, especially in the semiconductor and integrated circuit fields. For electronic products exported to the international market, ESD certification has become an important “threshold”. By adhering to the IEC 61340-5-1 or ANSI/ESD S20.20 standards, we can demonstrate our professionalism and reliability in electrostatic protection to our customers, enhance customer trust, and improve market competitiveness.

IEC 61340-5-1 is an international standard developed by the IECQ, the international accreditation committee under the International Electrotechnical Commission, aiming to provide guidance on electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection control for the storage, production, assembly and other processes of electronic and electrical products. By establishing the anti-static management system that meets this standard, the trust of each department regarding the compliance of electronic components and products with anti-static requirements during each process can be strengthened.

Meanwhile, the IEC 61340-5-1 standard is based on the ISO 9001 quality management system, emphasizing continuous monitoring and improvement.
