Defond Hong Kong Office Celebrates Successful Annual Blood Donation Day

Defond and the Hong Kong Red Cross successfully organised the annual blood donation day to fulfil the corporate social responsibility.

Blood transfusion, as an essential part of medical treatment, saves numerous lives annually during emergency rescues. The ‘Defond Blood Donation Day’ event, jointly organized by Defond and the Hong Kong Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service on December 3, 2024, was successfully completed. The event received an enthusiastic response from Defond’s Hong Kong team and delivered on our promise of community support and corporate social responsibility.

Hong Kong Red Cross, as Hong Kong’s only full-service blood provider, the blood transfusion service delivers safe, high-quality blood to every hospital in the city. Through strict collection, testing, and processing standards, it ensures reliable supplies while running the cord blood bank and bone marrow donor program, making healthcare more accessible to everyone.
