On July 26, 2025, Defond employees along with their family members and friends participated in the “Lok Sin Tong 145th Anniversary Flag Day” across Hong Kong, demonstrating their commitment to social responsibility through concrete actions.
At the event, Defond volunteers were stationed at various points, explaining the purpose of the campaign and encouraging public donations. Donors received special commemorative flag stickers featuring Lok Sin Tong’s four core missions: to relieve victims of disasters, to provide quality medical care, to promote education, and to care for the elderly. They help spread awareness of the cause while commemorating each donor’s contribution.
As one of Hong Kong’s longest-running charitable organizations, Lok Sin Tong was founded in 1880, and 2025 marks its 145th anniversary. The organization has consistently upheld its four core missions, providing services across healthcare, education, elderly care, social welfare, and community support. With over 85 service units across Hong Kong, Kowloon, and the New Territories, it offers diverse and tailored assistance to various groups, staying true to its spirit of ”Love and Care.” The 145th anniversary event drew around 4,000 volunteers and over 100 caring companies and organizations—with Defond being one of them.
By joining this initiative, Defond not only provided support for Lok Sin Tong’s fundraising efforts in healthcare, education, and other services, but also aimed to leverage its corporate influence to inspire wider community involvement. All proceeds will go entirely toward supporting Lok Sin Tong’s charitable services. Defond extends its sincere gratitude to all participants and supporters, stressing the need for ongoing collective efforts in charitable causes. Defond will continue to support and participate in such initiatives to contribute to social good.
