Responsibilities
- Development and design of switching and operating elements as well as HMI assemblies (e.g., button modules, rotary controllers, control panels), including the creation of 3D models and drawings with CATIA V5 in the field of plastics
- Initial technical evaluation of customer requirements as well as derivation and structuring in specifications/requirements documents (requirements handling)
- Development of technical concepts taking into account haptics, acoustics, ergonomics, and installation space, as well as creation of corresponding presentations

Qualifications
- Completed degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, mechatronics, or further training as a technician (m/f/d).
- At least 3 years of experience in the development of interior components, ideally switch and control elements, button modules, rotary controls, or control panels.
- Very good knowledge of CATIA V5, especially in plastic-compatible design (injection molding, snap hooks, latching mechanisms, guides, tolerance chains).
- Experience in the development of complete interior assemblies, including mechanical interfaces to electronics (PCB, fiber optics, HMI components).
- Know-how in terms of haptics, operating forces, acoustics (clicking/latching noises), surface requirements, and Class A environment.
- Understanding of tool-compatible design and coordination with toolmakers and suppliers (e.g., China interface).
- Experience with automotive development processes (e.g., APQP, FMEA, change management).
- Assertiveness, sense of responsibility, and confident manner in customer environments.
- Good MS Office skills.
