Achieving ASPICE Level 2 reflects Defond’s commitment in providing world-class automotive companies with high performing and industry proven software embedded solutions. It is an important step in positioning Defond as one of the leaders in the Automotive Human Machine Interface (HMI) market through expanding product offerings, shorten development time and enhancing quality control.

ASPICE is a variant of ISO/IEC 15504 (SPICE) tailored for the automotive industry. It is a process framework to assess the capability and maturity of organizational processes to develop software embedded systems in the automotive industry.

Jointly issued by the major automotive manufacturers, it defines processes and best practices for software and software-based system development for the automotive industry. To obtain ASPICE certification, an organization must be audited by certified ASPICE 3rd party assessors, involving in-depth interviews and process audits.
